Out-of-Town Company Buys Local Newspapers

DUBOIS - Three local newspapers have been bought out by a community media group of Illinois yesterday. Tioga Publishing Company purchased The Courier Express of DuBois, The Jefferson Democrat of Brookville and The Leader Vindicator of New Bethlehem. All three newspapers were independently owned by the McLean family since 1895.
