DuBois Council Still Looking For Company To Lease Land

DuBois, PA - DuBois City Council has said “no thank you” to a company from Texas who showed interest in leasing the city's watershed property for Marcellus gas drilling. According to Solicitor Toni Cherry, Carizo Oil and Gas of Texas failed to meet the January 15th deadline to mail an option to purchase oil and gas lease, as well as, a check of more than a million dollars advance payment to lease the land. The city will continue to look for someone to explore the option of Marcellus gas leasing at their watershed property.
